Process
Step 1 Pick a classroom: With your partner, decide which classroom
in Brady you are going to design.
Step 2 Choose roles:
Designer- creates the map and labels the lines of
latitude and longitude, the compass rose, and the cardinal directions.

Key Maker- decides which pieces of furniture are
going to be represented on the map, creates a key containing symbols to
represent the furniture, and draws the symbols on the map.

Question
Creator- creates
thoughtful questions about your map that require the key, cardinal
directions, and lines to answer. These questions should be written neatly
on note cards with the answers on the back.

Step 3 Research: As a team, you will research maps using
the resources located in the resource section of this site.
Step 4 Get to work: Using the information that you have
found, get to work on accomplishing the tasks for your role.
Step 5 Testing: Were you successful as topographers?
Share your map and questions with another pair of students to see if they can
read your map and figure out which room you designed.
