Spring Peeper

Grace

The spring peeper has a dark brown cross on its back. Its toe pads help it climb trees. It makes a peep-peep-peep-peeping sound. We first hear it in March.
It lives where there are lots of bushes and trees. Spring peepers eat beetles, ants, flies, and spiders. The spring peeper lays 800-1,000 eggs which are laid alone or in clusters. Snakes, birds, and other mammals are its enemies.
