APES 2011/2012
Thank you for signing up for the APES class. APES a great class because it is integrates and applies all of the disciplines of science and social sciences. Everyday there is something in the news about the environment, so watch the news over the summer so you can add to class discussion.
Next year, the APES exam is the first one given. This means we will lose 2 weeks of class time. We need to make up some of that time by doing some summer reading and assignments. All assignments must be hand written. You will receive no credit if it is typed. The assignments are due on the second day of school. Also you will be given a test on that date over the assigned chapters plus math problems. Tests are weighted 70% in APES. It has been proven that if you donŐt score a 78% or above you will not pass the AP exam.
