I have taught for thirty years with twenty-two of those at Orange High School. I began my teaching career in Cincinnati where I taught Home Economics for one year. I then moved to Texas and taught two years in Austin. After earning a math degree at the University of Texas at Arlington, I began teaching mathematics in Fort Worth and eventually relocated with my husband to my current destination, Cleveland, Ohio and have been teaching math ever since and loving every minute of it.
I have three children. My oldest daughter Allie graduated from Grove City College, majored in Psychology, married a wonder young man named Daniel and they reside in Memphis, TN. My second child, Bryn, graduated from Ohio University with a degree in finance and is working in Charlotte, NC. Finally my youngest child, Colton, is involved in soccer and track and is currently an junior at OHS.
My husband Don and I love to travel, boat, go to the Indians baseball games, and cheer on our favorite football team, the Indianapolis Colts! We also are soccer fans and have hosted many players and coaches over the past few years. We have hosted players from Ireland, the UK, Canada, Spain, Kenya, LA, and Haiti. It is a way to see the world and be in your own home and what a blessing it is to meet these wonderful people. Some of our travels outside of the home have taken us to Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, England, France, and Spain to name a few. We love them all but Italy is still our favorite. I hope to bike there someday.
